Summer reading program

The Soldotna Public Library has completed another successful summer reading program and I would like to thank all the children, parents, volunteers, and businesses who helped to make it so.  Thank you again to Fred Meyers for the community fund grant that sponsored our program, Friends of the Joyce K. Carver Memorial Library, Jenni Larson from Creative Memories, and the Soldotna Parks & Recreation Department for their support.  A special thank you for library patron Billi Kaho for her generous donation used to purchase prizes, and to our volunteers: Carmen Triana, Marian Werth, Jeanette Pedginski, Joyce Snow, Stacey MacKenzie, Amy Hogue, and Nancy Locke.

Finally, I’d like to thank our volunteers who organized and ran the annual Soldotna Progress Days Used Book Sale: Mary McCown, Norma Cooper, Elaine Woodburn, Kathy Cox, and Sherril Miller. Thank you to Linda McMilin, Jeanette Pedginski, Billie & Scott Loehr for their help in running the FOL fund raiser booth during the parade, and to the many, generous donors who gave and supported the Friends of the Library’s fund raising efforts this month.  Your donations are helping the library grow!
