Old Timers enjoy luncheon

The annual Old Timers Luncheon has come and gone, we hope all who did attend had a great time, visiting old friends while enjoying a delicious meal. From the sounds of the chatter the crowded room was full of happy old timers.

Thanks to the Senior Center with Rachel and her staff for all the extra work and confusion a affair of this size creates. They did, as always provide everything we needed which made for delightful lunch fun.

Special thank you to all the KIDS who worked very hard with the many special tasks required besides serving and cleaning up . These “KIDS,” Mike and Joan Seaman, Gary Hollier, Susie Covich, Carol Anderson, Pat Falkenburg, Barb Jewell, Bonnie Porter, Janice Wilsack, Jim Arness, Shawn Haskin and Dorothy Gray the “straw boss,” showed the old timers they really did raise great kids. Thank you again.

Dorothy Thompson the “Mystery Person” managed to keep her identity a complete mystery.

Thanks to Joe Arness who read our growing list of folks Crossing the Bar, and Jean Brockel for her beautiful music after.

Watch the papers next year for the 20th Old Timers Luncheon which will happen on the third Thursday of August 2012.
