Valuing trees a scary proposition

Today’s front page (Clarion, Aug. 19-20) is frightening.

How long before the Borough Assessor’s office holds a meeting to instruct all field assessors to re-evaluate every parcel and add the value of trees to our tax bill?

Not long, I’m afraid.
