SoHi thanks Class of 2011

Soldotna High School is off to another great school year and we are truly impressed with our 500 full time students. As we welcome the “Class of 2015” we also need to send a special thanks to the Class of 2011 and to all of our AP students! Soldotna High School had 33 students take AP exams during the month of May. We are proud to report that out of those 33 students we had 13 students score a perfect “5” on their AP exams ranking them among the best in the United States! We also had another 14 students score an impressive “4” on their AP exam. Along with great test scores, the Class of 2011 also walked out the door with over $325,885 in academic, music, leadership and athletic scholarships.

My challenge to the Classes of 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 is to surpass the Class of 2011 in both areas of academic excellence as well as in the area of scholarships, to further their education at some form of higher education.

Thanks again to the Class of 2011, to all of our AP students and to our AP teachers, Mr. Rife (AP Biology), Mr. Barkman (AP Chemistry), Mr. Druce (AP Language Arts), Mrs. Merkes (AP Calculus), Mrs. Syverson (AP U.S. History) and Mr. Harbison (AP Government) for their many hours of hard work and dedication to our students.
