Alaska CHARR generously supports Brown Bears

The Alaska Cabaret, Hotel, Restaurant, and Retailer's Association offers comprehensive alcohol server and food safety training programs throughout the state. Last month, CHARR held its 41st annual statewide convention at the Challenger Learning Center, where business meetings, interactive activities, and special events took place for members of the hospitality industry.

Each year Alaska CHARR chooses a different locale, bringing substantial revenue to the host city and its businesses. The convention is highlighted by a dinner and fundraiser, where all proceeds are generously given to a local charity. This year, in recognition of our commitment to excellence on the ice and service to our community off the ice, the Kenai River Brown Bears were chosen as the beneficiary of this fundraiser. Alaska CHARR set a new personal best by donating over $29,000 to the Kenai Peninsula Youth Foundation's Brown Bears!

Thank you Alaska CHARR! The Brown Bears would not be sustainable without our many fans, sponsors and fine organizations such as yours.
