Sometimes, having a recognizable name can be a mixed blessing. More than once, when I have presented my credit card at a restaurant, I get a chuckle from a waitress or waiter, they notice my name and say something like: "Alright ... I got Willie Nelson's autograph."
Other times, however, people see my name in print and think, "What? Bill Nelson? In a bar fight?"
Well, to all my friends, business associates and clients out there, please be assured, that was not your local Civil Engineer tossing his fists recently in a local bar, just some unfortunate soul (seven years younger, too!) with the same name. Keep smiling!
