Hockey tournament a success

The Soldotna High School Hockey team recently hosted the Northstar Region Hockey Tournament Feb. 3-4. Teams from Soldotna, Kenai, Homer, Palmer, Wasilla and Colony high schools participated. We would like to thank Horizon Lines for their generous sponsorship of the event. The following local businesses also contributed much appreciated donations: The Lucky Puck, Kaladi Brothers coffee, Walmart and Save-U-More.

We would like to give a special thanks to Karin Williamson for the many hours she put in providing music for the tournament, Jonathon Granger for announcing the games and Mayor Peter Micciche for presenting the trophies. Though we do not have space to name everyone, we especially thank our SoHi hockey parents, coaches and administrators for the time and effort they provided in planning and preparing for this great tournament.

It is a pleasure to live in such a generous community. Thank you again.
