In response to "Dear Senate, thanks for nothing" editorial

Is the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate to blame for high gas prices at the pump? How wonderfully convenient it is to point the finger at Washington. It fixes nothing, but it sure makes us feel better. In fact, blaming others not only wastes time, it reveals a certain level of complacency and cowardice.

Those who are really to blame are Alaskans willing to be treated like willing slaves on the Alaska Plantation.  What would you say about someone who plunges his hand into a hornet's nest and then blames the hornets for  stinging? I'd say he's nuts. What about Alaskans who sit idly by or bow down to a bunch of morons 3,500 miles away and then blame the morons for causing the suffering?

If you need to blame someone in government, blame the Governor and state bureaucrats for not having the backbone to take care of business. Pogo was right when he confessed, "We have met the enemy and they are us."

And so, while we cringe at the pump, the blame game continues.
