Elks congratulate scholarship winners

The Soldotna Elks Scholarship Committee has completed the ASEA Vocational Technical Preparation Grant judging for the Greater Soldotna area.  The committee was very impressed with the eight outstanding students who put forth applications. We have truly outstanding students in our schools as evidenced by each application the committee reviewed and all of those who submitted applications are worthy of congratulations.

The Soldotna Elks Lodge 2706 will be rewarding our local students with the following Vocational Technical Preparation Grants: Krystal Baer, $750; Gunnar Romatz, $750; Cody Williams, $350; Janice Scritchfield, $300.

Additionally, the applications of Krystal Baer and Gunnar Romatz will be passed on to the State level competition for additional grant consideration. Congratulations to all the above students! They have extremely bright futures.
