The May 2 issue of the Clarion ran the apologies from three young men who had vandalized Nikiski High and a car.

As a member of the Ridgeway Community, I certainly accept their apologies; we’ve had our own problems, so I know how I react to vandals, but I also know that these young men have manned up to their actions. I encourage them to learn from this, to stay clean, stay busy and show themselves and Alaska that they come thru this experience head-high because they are on the right track.

I wish them well, and I am reassured by their heart-felt apology.
