Rollers thank donors for bleeding for a cause

The Gold Rush Rollers would like to express their gratitude to everyone in our community who contributed to the success of the Gold Rush Rollers Blood Drive held on May 3. During our drive we collected 41 units of life-saving blood. Many thanks to Icons 907 for hosting the Life Mobile, the Blood Bank of Alaska team for their dedication and to the many donors who chose to share their life-giving blood. Each donor has helped the Blood Bank of Alaska fulfill its mission to make sure blood is available when hospital patients need it.  We were treated by a visit from Rebecca not only is she a fan of Roller Derby she is also a life saved by Alaskan blood donations.  It was awesome to be a part of this lifesaving experience of "Bleeding for a cause -- on and off the track."
