Everybody makes mistakes; time to fix this one

Regarding Anadromus Stream Ordinance 2011-12: We all make mistakes. Obviously Ordinance 2011-12 was a “perfect storm” of mistakes.

Perhaps most Assembly members made the same mistake — believing that they could pass an Ordinance with enough over-reach to turn upside-down the concept of private ownership.

Possibly some  Assembly members erred by misunderstanding the serious extent of, or ramifications of, attempts to fund and enforce 2011-12.

Maybe Assembly members mistakingly didn’t include a percentage reduction in property taxes equal to the percentage of property they were usurping through regulation.

Just as human nature dictates that we all make mistakes, most of us seek forgiveness for those mistakes injurious to others. Certainly, they have mine upon their repeal of 2011-12.
