Lee Bruce, senior project manager for the Exxon Point Thompson project, was quoted saying "And we want to build trust with the state of Alaska. We recognize the history that Exxon has had here." I read his quote and could not help thinking, Yes and that is why we (EXXON and Lee Bruce) made our agreement with Governor Sean Parnell and his un-named commissioner of Natural Resources in secret. Most of us over the years have learned that secrecy builds trust in relationships. Particularly when the deals are viewed in bright sunlight. Is it any wonder that some of our politicians work so hard to keep us in the dark.

6/19/12 Do I find just a wee bit of SARCASM when the Author mentioned the words EXXON & TRUST in the same sentense ? ?
The words BRITISH PETROLEUM & TRUST should never be included in the same sentense.
These Oil Giants have proven time & time again & again that THEY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED . Proven Fact.
Mr. Lee Bruce, Point Thompson, Exxon & the word TRUST all in the same sentense.
You must be Kidding Me ? Is this For Real ?

One must remember that Gov.Sean Parnell has,and still is a Lobbyist for the oil Industry.Palin left this state in good hands when she went off to pander even more.Didn't she?
Thanks for your comments.
Thanks for your comments. I am glad you got the sarcasm.
I was afraid some one might take me too seriously. I agree
with your conclusions about the oil business's actions. I also
agree that Palin's oil tax plan has been good for us and I believe remains fair to all. I appreciate the efforts of Gary
Stevens and our legislators that worked to maintain her plan and to oppose Parnell's plan to give away 1.6 billion to the oil companies.
