Many pitch in to make Quilters golf tourney a success

June 23rd saw 68 golfers on the Bird Homestead Golf Course to compete in the 9th annual Funny River Quilters golf tournament. Thank you for coming to join us, AND enjoying the sunshine. This is always a fun event, made more fun by the willingness of our community to donated prizes and food supplies so that we can serve lunch at noon and hamburgers after the tournament. We would especially like to thank our hole sponsors, Slash E Construction, Alaska Oil Sales, Central Peninsula Hospital, Funny River Community Center, J & H Sewing & Vacuum, Inc., Kenai River Raven, Soldotna Realty, Sweeney's Clothing and Trustworthy Hardware and Fishing.
