Library gives thanks

The Soldotna Public Library and the Friends of the Joyce K. Carver Memorial Library would like to thank the businesses and volunteers who helped with our annual Progress Days used book sale and support of the library’s summer reading program.

Thank you to Steve Stenga and the Peninsula Center Mall, Ron’s Rent-it Center, Carmen Triana with the Soldotna Rec. Dept., book moving volunteers: Nancy Henning, Maria Dixson, Jane Fuerstenau, Fox and Madeleine Michaud, Jeanette and Jonathan Pedginski, and Mariah Ulen.  Thank you to the generous ladies who donated their time to run the sale: Maria Dixson, Norma Cooper, Donna Miller, Sharen Sleator, Sherril Miller, Jeanette Pedginski, Elaine Woodburn, M.P. King, and Kathy Wartinbee.  

Finally, I’d like to thank our volunteers who walked in the Progress Days parade with the library’s “mini” float, sharing their smiles and passing out book coupons and bookmarks along the parade route: Linda, Kim and Mason McMilin, Jeanette and Jonathan Pedginski, Anya Hondel, and Madeleine Michaud.  And also, a very special Thank you to Billi Kaho for her very generous donation and support of the library and its programs.
