Resident thankful for stroke care

Recently, I had a stroke. It was a TIA (mini-stroke) and not much time took place between the onset of the stroke and my wife calling 911. The ambulance was quickly dispatched and the folks were at my home in short order. An IV was started, I was put on oxygen and transported to the hospital. The ambulance crew was very professional and got things started, then the ER folks took over. Lots of tests, internal pictures and good care at the hospital. I’m thankful to live in this day and age where we have medical advancement and trained people to administer medical procedures to help us when we are in need. I’m thankful to my wife for recognizing my stroke as it was happening. Everyday of my life I am truly blessed.
