Thanks, from the Pink Ribbon Rally Committee

On Sunday, Aug. 5, 75 ladies and approximately 20 volunteers filled the Birch Ridge Golf Course with laughter, tears, an abundance of generosity, and lots of pink. The Pink Ribbon Rally Committee would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to each participant, volunteer, donor, and hole sponsor for helping us make this year our most successful one to date. The funds raised at this annual event are donated to the Central Peninsula Health Foundation Breast Cancer Fund to help in the fight against breast cancer on the local level through awareness, early detection and treatment. In 2011, the Rally donated $20,000 to the foundation.  Although final figures are not yet tallied, this year will most certainly exceed last year.

Our organization, like so many others in our community, would not be able to accomplish what we do without the existence of Bridges Community Resource Network. By being under the Bridges umbrella, the Pink Ribbon Rally is able to raise tax deductible donations, sell raffle tickets, have use of a credit card machine and have the support of the Bridges Board of Directors. A huge thank you goes out to Jane Stein. As President of Bridges, Jane’s dedication helps to make organizations such as ours successful.

We wish we could name each and every participant, every volunteer, every donor and hole sponsor individually. Please know how much you are appreciated. We are overwhelmed by the support we receive from our wonderful and giving community.
