Voters need to consider candidates’ actions

Attention Voters!

At your voting place, before you vote, stop and remember how our legislators conducted themselves during the last session.

1. They found time and money to go to Norway, to study the fishing industry.

2. They did not take care of their duties, and were asked to return to Juneau to finish needed legislation. That was a useless expense as they still didn’t take care of legislation needed for our coast line.

3. It is time they put politics and party aside and worked together.

An incumbent walked away from me at the Kenai Senior center when I discussed, (or tried to) an issue he did not agree with. On the other hand, his opponent, Peter Micciche had the decency, when he didn’t agree with me, to sit down, hear my views, and listen, and in the long run Mr. Micciche voted the majority of the people’s wishes.

I am neither a Republican, or Democrat, or any party. I like to listen to the candidates, observe their behavior and vote for the person I consider most qualified.

Think about our legislators’ lack of action when you enter the voting booth. Regardless of your vote, please get out and vote!
