Corporate model does not work for education

Posted: September 14, 2012 - 9:17am

Amy Goodman of Democracy Now (Sept. 10, 2012) reports on the real problems in the schools and school policies under Rahm Emmanuel’s mayorship. The articles describe how Rahm and corporate executive officers established policies on the corporate model that are not in the best interests of students, teachers, and parents. The articles also describe the ties with Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education under President Obama, from Chicago, friend of Rahm Emmanuel and the national educational policies of Race to the Top.

Having greatly benefited from our American public school system and the many dedicated teachers, administrators and parents, the GI bill, state universities and a life of learning, I have a responsibility to students and parents to tell you I like what I see being done by dedicated teachers, administrators and parents, I do not like the direction being taken in our policies in the last 15 years. Amy Goodman’s reports describe the oppressive nature of these policies and how they deny a rich education with justice and equality for all children.

Accordingly the news that Chicago’s teachers, students and parents are asserting themselves, speaking out for better policies and rejecting the oppressive and I think destructive actions of Emmanuel and his corporate buddies brings joy to my heart. I thank them for struggling to give our children a better education and to make us all a better America.

Thanks Mr Hays

There are things which are best addressed as an inclusive group. Education and Health care are among them, as well as infrastructure , law enforcement and national defense. When we try to remove a group from those who enjoy these types of benefits the whole idea is compromised and the results are necessarily flawed for us all.
Thanks for your letter.

They have neither the capacity nor the goal of discovering anybody work. Most models never go to demonstrating school, since displaying is more about senses than instruction. Some individuals were destined to demonstrate, yet generally weren't. essay writing websites. What's more, true blue specialists NEVER request cash in advance, since they chip away at commission. They just get paid when models do, since they're paid a rate of what a model gains for an occupation.
