Signs, signs, and more signs!

I remember a few years ago after a local election, there was uproar about political signs being left in place long after the election was over and all the ballots were counted. It seems to me if the politicians have the money to spend creating the signs and putting them in place to make sure their name is known, they must have pocket money to hire day labor to take them down. After all, there are many people out of work, out of food, and not much hope for work in the future.

Why can’t the “candidates” pay to have them removed? The signs are an eyesore, will end up being trash all over the place once snow falls, and no longer serve a purpose now that the election is over.

Hire those who need money to take them down and recycle them. If those elected (and those who were not) really care about “the people,” show it and hire those who could use a few extra dollars.
