Reader: Movie review is off base

You should be ashamed to have allowed such a biased review of “2016: Obama’s America” to run, much less to occupy so much space, in the Sept. 20 newspaper. Chris Jenness, the author, is a self-proclaimed Obaminite, who should restrict his critiques to stand-up comedians because his movie review was a joke. He outright tells us he is “primed” to disagree with any Obama negativity, and that is exactly what he blatantly does, even as he claims this has nothing to do with his I-am-a-fan-of-Obama politics. He claims this movie is “without facts,” which makes me think he didn’t actually see this movie, or he slept through it.

He sings the praises of Michael Moore, whom he describes as a true movie maker, even as he tell us Moore is “biased, spins the facts, alters conclusions to fit his agenda, ambushes and wrongly harasses people” — Yep, Mr. Jenness, no bias there!

And then, one can only assume, you intentionally published this political hack piece, the day the movie quit showing in Kenai, so anyone reading that piece of spinning hog wash, won’t be able to see the move and form their own conclusions. Shame on you!
