I recently had an orthopedic procedure in our local hospital. The professional care given by Dr. Peter Ross, Dr. Justin Evans, the expert OR staff and nurse Kristi Edwards was above excellent.
We are extremely fortunate to live in an area that is serviced with such an outstanding hospital.
I have been involved with medical care for many years, i.e., 11 years as a hospital board member, advisor to health related boards in Tennessee, surgeries at Baptist and St. Thomas hospitals, and associated with Vanderbilt Hospital. I feel qualified to say that our local hospital’s standard of care is unsurpassed by any.
From admission to release, this hospital exemplifies the most modern technology in diagnostics and care delivery. The extremely friendly staff greatly enhances the care and concern while being a patient here.
It is my hope that through community support and our tax dollars, we will always be able to keep CPH as locally controlled as possible and always be governed by a board of directors made up of local citizens. This is very important to insure that the present degree of excellence remains in our hospital.

Mr. Woodard, I agree with almost everything that You have written. I also had Surgery by "The Colonel" Dr.Peter Ross
& follow up care & physical therapy.
Our Hospital has a long history of Charging Too Much $Money$ for medical procedures & services.
"Above & Beyond the Usual & Customary Fees" constant problem.
All Pen. Residents already Know that any procedure or service received at Our Hospital is going to Cost far more than it should cost. We have talked about this for years.
Now We have documented Proof that is happening.

We the Residents of the Central Peninsula OWN this Hospital. We PAID for this Hospital thru Personal Property taxes for decades. I drove a concrete mixer truck & delivered the concrete for the Hospital foundation.
We Paid for It & We Built the Hospital.
The Residents of the Central Peninsula have EARNED a DISCOUNT for procedures & services received at Our Hospital. Stop Gouging & Charging Too Much.
