Thanks to all who saved boy's life

My name is Kristy Leslie, mother of Trevor Speakman. Oct. 4 was exactly one year since my son was riding his bicycle and was hit by a vehicle, severely injuring Trevor. Trevor suffered a traumatic brian injury; fractured skull; three strokes, one in his front lobe and two in his brain stem; a broken femur which required surgery to repair with a rod and screws, several seizures and was in a coma for 6 weeks. Trevor has endured so much over this past year.

I am writing this letter to say “thank you” to all those involved in saving my son’s life: Mary Lou Diamond at Ginger’s Restaurant; 911 dispatch; emergency medical first responders on the scene; CES chaplain; Soldotna Police Department; Alaska State Troopers; the emergency room at Central Peninsula Hospital; Central Emergency Services; the medevac transport team; Providence Pediatric Intensive Care Unit; the entire staff at Providence; St. Elias Specialty Hospital; God; and for those not mentioned, a special thank you to you, too. There were more than 70 people initially involved in saving my son’s life. Trevor is still receiving treatment for his injuries and there are numerous people involved, surely in the hundreds. Thank you to everyone with all my heart and God bless you.
