Community support will help with medical costs

On Oct. 9, the Soldotna Police Department and their extended family hosted a fundraiser for an officer’s daughter who was injured in a car accident in Oregon. The community and a dedicated group of people put the event together and it was a huge success. As with all things in Soldotna, the outpouring of emotion and support was amazing.

We want to thank everyone who donated their time, cakes, food, equipment, items for the auction and mostly their generous spirit. We were able to raise over $3,400.00 to be used for medical bills, physical therapy and personal needs.

We want to thank the following businesses who donated to the event: Jumpin Junction, the Kapps; Sylvia Sheldon from AK Salon; Soldotna and Kenai Safeway; Soldotna McDonalds; The Soldotna Sport Center Staff; Angie Brennan and the Fitness Place; Alaska Botanical Herbs and Teas; The Crafty Alaskan; Reaper Knives Owner/maker Odean Hall; Alaska Family Medical Clinic; CrossFit Norsemen.
