Vision becomes reality in Soldotna

Before this becomes a distant memory, I want to thank the City of Soldotna for welcoming the local community in the Envision Soldotna 2030 Comprehensive Plan. I had a great time participating in the first meeting, visioning process, and felt like my comments were very welcome there. The plan itself is quite beautiful, well though-out, and reflective of the comments I heard during the visioning process. The City of Soldotna, herself, looks great. Friendly to the walker — the distances are manageable to traverse by foot. The businesses look brighter, more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Soldotna Community Playground has given life to a natural area of our town. This is a really pretty little town.

Thanks to everyone who worked on the Comprehensive Plan — Mayor Miccichi, the City Council Members (of that time), the City Planning & Zoning Commission, the Playground Volunteers, the Business owners who have brightened up their buildings. Thanks for the flowers in the summer, the ice sculptures in the winter, and the bridge that lights up when it gets dark.
