Thanks to all who help feed the Peninsula

Albert Pine, an English author in the 1850s once said, “What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” On behalf of those we provide services, the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank Board of Directors and staff thank all those who support the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank throughout the year.

During the holiday season, we are extremely grateful for all the food donations and monetary donations including the Mail Appeal contributions. YOU have made a difference in Kenai Peninsula resident’s lives by your generosity! Families say thank you! For instance the young father who came for the first time to ask for help because his construction job ended earlier this fall. His two young children and wife needed a Thanksgiving box because their cupboards were empty. Then there is the father who had to ask for a ride because his car wouldn’t run and this was his first visit for his family of 6. The “working poor” in our community are struggling! A large repair bill or medical expense can cause havoc with their household budget.

Thank you to our community members who support the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, those we know and those who wish to be anonymous. We feed people because no one deserves to be hungry!
