Contributions make hoops tourney a slam dunk

Soldotna High School Boys Basketball would like to thank its supporters, sponsors, parents and the players for helping to make the 22nd annual 2012 Al Howard/POWERade SoHi Tip Off Tournament a huge success.

A big thank you goes to the Odom Corporation and POWERade for sponsoring the Tip Off again this year. Also, thanks to Soldotna Wells Fargo Bank, Kenai Safeway, Kaladi Brothers Coffee, and Three Bears in Kenai for donating various products. What a fabulous community we live in when local businesses are so willing to help out our student/athletes in their activities.

Thanks especially to the participating high school athletes from Bethel, Nikiski, Homer, Kodiak, Kenai, Mt. Edgecumbe, Anchorage East, and SoHi who played hard and represented their schools well.

Thanks to the fantastic booster club parents that worked so hard to make certain the concessions, gate, and hospitality room ran efficiently.

Last but not least, no tournament can operate and run smoothly without assistance from the school administration. Thanks also goes to Meggean Bos, Family and Consumer Science teacher, for allowing us access to her classroom for our hospitality needs.
