The idea that Peter Micciche could somehow protect the southern peninsula from cruise waste by exempting Kachemak Bay from a proposed roll back of water quality standards for cruise ships is ludicrous. Tides anyone? Besides the people of Alaska voted for the standards to protect fisheries and water quality. This is another classic case of the people being sold out to special interests. It is a bad bill and bad news for Alaska.
