Generosity helps 92 Cinderellas get to prom

The generosity of our local community deserves a huge amount of praise in support of Cinderella’s Closet 2013. This is our 4th year, and we have helped more girls than I ever would have imagined. This year, we provided items to 92 local students from Soldotna High, Cook Inlet Academy, Skyview High, River City Academy, Kenai Central High, and Nikiski High. A thank you goes to Natali Jones for bringing items across the water to our students in Nanwalek, Port Graham, and Susan B. English (Seldovia). This brings our grand total to 342 students assisted through this program.

A special thank you to Kenai Performers/Curtain Call Consignment, AK Salon, Wendi Dutcher, Jaci’s Double Take, Soldotna High School National Honors Society and Student Council, and the staff and students at the various schools for “getting the word out.” Rashah McChesney and Catie Quinn, thank you for your awesome media pieces. The greatest appreciation goes to all of the people in our communities who donated items to this program.

Items for Cinderella’s Closet 2014 are being collected now at the Soldotna High School main office. Let’s help make more memories for our area teens!
