Care package to Alaska soldier appreciated

I’d like to thank the Soldotna Rotary Club for sending care packages to our son Thomas Semmens and his Army Alaska National Guard Unit in Kuwait. Last week I asked my daughter-in-law how our son was doing since we haven’t heard from him the last month while he is in Kuwait. She said they are living in tents in the middle of sand and he sounded down. Then a few days later I asked her if she had heard from him again and she said he was much happier since they had received packages from the Soldotna Rotary Club. Wow, that made this mom happy and I’m also impressed because we still don’t even know his address. Thanks so much for reaching out and you did make a big difference! He won’t be home til January and with a lovely wife and three children waiting at home it is hard to be away. A care package from Soldotna means a lot! Thanks for supporting our troops!
