Support leads to problems solved

The Alaska Future Problem Solving Program would like to thank the generous folks at College Heights Community Fellowship for the use of their facilities during the Alaska FPS State Bowl on April 15 and 16. Approximately 65 Future Problem Solvers along with their coaches and chaperones participated. Groups involved were from Cordova, Fairbanks, Sitka and several communities on the Kenai Peninsula.

Generous in-kind and monetary support was also provided by Aspen Hotels, Fred Meyer, Emerald Alaska, Safeway, the Kenai Watershed Forum, Soldotna Optometry Clinic, Soldotna Professional Pharmacy and Arby’s.

The participants studied the topic of “Ocean Soup” for the bowl and competed in a variety of activities. Through their exposure to challenging topics, and their expertise in the problem solving process, Future Problem Solvers are becoming informed and capable members of our society.

Thank you for your support of this valuable program!
