Exchange student grateful for experience

My name is Yomna Mohamed, an AFS Exchange Student from Egypt, and a sophomore in KCHS. I’m curently hosted by the Hamiltons. As I think about heading home in a few days, I want to thank my entire host family because they’re just amazing, but especially my host mom, Misty Hamilton. I just wanted to thank you for being a great host mom.

Being an exchange student was not easy or at least not what I expected it to be. But you helped me a lot and you handled my bad days. You treated me exactly like my natural mom! I actually could have never asked for a better host family. I’m pretty sure I would never experience something like this again, my exchange year is the experience of a lifetime, it changed me a lot. So, thanks for being a part of it. I will miss you but I will definitely come and visit . I just can’t believe the fact that I won’t be hearing anymore “Oh! stop yourself.” Happy Mother’s Day!
