Columnist hits the mark

Les Palmer hit a home run. When and where I lived on Puget Sound a friend lived in an old four-plex on the shore. At low tide whenever the toilet was flushed we could see the paper come out of the pipe on the beach. Now it is illegal to dump your lawn trimmings on the beach. Many of the western states have laws in place for a long time now re rivers and set backs, etc. To the Palmer column that old quote, “If not here, then where, if not now, when, if not us then who?” Good job Les.
