Constitution being ignored

Convince the majority a repugnant law is best and you have tyranny of the majority. The curtain falls on minority rights. That sums up a Democracy, majority rule. We have seen the full weight of Democracy in the past. The majority overpowered those of color or a different religious belief.

So where do we stand today? Most believe guns are bad and need to be taken away from the minority. The majority care little about the corrupt banking system, how the NSA spies on Americans, how the IRS targets individuals calling for a return to Constitutional Republic principles or how government interferes with our “free press.”

The masses care little in what happens in the USA until they find themselves in the minority. When the majority’s boot, through government, crushes on their rights they suddenly care. And so it has found it’s way into the Kenai Borough. The majority of the Kenai Assembly members continue to support government control over private property. Nothing really new. I recently found out it is against the law to sell a piece of your property without the blessing of the Kenai Borough government. See, in a Democracy only the majority know what is best for the individual because we are too ignorant to do the right thing.

This nation was founded on many fundamental principles. One was individual liberty. The founders created a Constitutional Republic. Checks and balances, to prevent one person or group from having too much power. I am an observer of people. While I do not support violence I understand it. As stated in the June 20th Clarion, emotions are running high and a Soldotna police officer was in attendance at the last assembly meeting. Anger toward the ongoing destruction of our Constitutional Republic is expanding. Increasing violence is coming to the USA. From this Borough to D.C. The minority of free and liberty loving people is growing and we want our Constitutional Republic back.
