Peninsula hospitality appreciated after accident

In June my husband and I took the vacation of a lifetime at the Hook Setters Lodge in Kenai. Unfortunately it ended in an auto accident on June 22nd on the Sterling Highway. Our experience of the fine friendly people in your area was surpassed by the kindness and compassion of all who responded and assisted with the accident. The first responders (both professionals and bystanders) were quick to assist in getting everyone out of the damaged vehicles with care and concern. The hospital staff at Central Peninsula Hospital provided outstanding care with our injuries and Officer Thad Hamilton with the Alaska State Troopers was beyond awesome with helping everyone involved. Last but not least, the friends we made at Hook Setters Lodge and Russell Fishing Co. who came to the hospital and drove us to Anchorage for our flight home, we thank you all. Even though there are some who say this experience would ruin their vacation, we feel the opposite as we had the opportunity to experience Alaska at its best!
