Raffle proceeds will benefit community

The Rotary Club of Kenai River Soldotna would like to thank all of the participants who bought tickets during our recent annual fund raiser for a Wine Country trip for two to Prosser, Washington and the Great Prosser Balloon Rally. The proceeds from this event fun our literacy projects here on the Peninsula and our international literacy project in Guatemala. They also enable us to fund our contribution to the Rotary Foundation Polio Plus program for the eradication of Polio worldwide.

The winner of the raffle was Karlene Mueller, and the winning ticket was sold by Rotarian Bonnie Nichols. Karlene won two round trip tickets to Prosser, three nights in the Seven Gables Pensione B&B, guided tours of several of the local wineries, one night’s special dinner for two, and hands-on access to the Great Prosser Balloon Rally.

And I want to extend a special thank you to Ray Debardeladen of Long Live the Kings Guide service for donating the lodging and fishing trips for the winners from the Prosser Rotary club, who got to experience two days fishing on the Kenai Peninsula.
