Support for Celebrate Life! run appreciated

The ABC Pregnancy Care Center thanks the many sponsors, volunteers and participants who helped make the Aug. 3 Celebrate Life! 5K Run and Walks such a tremendous success. Sponsors included Peninsula Powersports, Bill Wood Construction Inc., Bobbie Behrens M.D. OB/GYN, Ellis Automotive, Kenai Vision Center, Brown Agency, Tauriainen Engineering & Testing, Communications Alaska, Law Office of Sonja Redmond, Foster Construction, Country Financial Angela Ritchie, Customs Seafood Processors, Soldotna Professional Pharmacy, Narrow Road Productions, Tim’s Janitorial & Carpet Cleaning, Big G Electric and Alyeska Tire. In-kind donations came from Jumpin’ Junction, Coffee Roasters, Soldotna Bible Chapel, Bare Threads & Laundromat, The Moose Is Loose, Heavenly Delights, Columbia Paint, Renewal Skin Care Studio, Big Daddy’s Pizza, King’s Treasure, St. Elias and Road I.D. Over 40 volunteers stepped in to lend a helping hand. The organizational committee worked for months in advance organizing the event. This dedicated committee was chaired by Amanda Martin and consisted of Penny Hallmark, Tina Hensley and Jackie Ostroot. Finally we thank the 227 runners and walkers who freely participated, but generously donated to help the ABC Pregnancy Care Center continue to provide, at no cost to women and their families, a safe place to go for services, accurate information and support; before, during and after pregnancy.
