Residents should present united front

I invite all Peninsula residents and especially all residents and property owners north of the refinery to attend the Nikiski Council Meeting scheduled for 9 Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Nikiski Senior Center (just 1 mile off the Spur on Island Lake Road). You are the people in the toxic “plume” that is emerging from years of waste dumping and the immediate emergency that AIMM Technogies intends when they dump 10 million gallons of toxic waste in Nikiski. You alone have the power to stop this!

Please do not allow the voice of the people to go unheard. I expect all residents of our humble and peaceful village to stand up to those who want to poison our ground water. To my neighbors: You are not alone in your outrage. Please come to the council meeting.

We are a small community. We have little political strength. We have few resources to fight the corporations who want to endanger us. I think this is indeed our greatest strength: Try to destroy us and we will stand together against you!
