Community support appreciated

Well folks it’s all over now. All that’s left is the thoughts and memories. We had the last big celebration on earth for Joan and Gary Miller on Sept. 14. What a beautiful memorial for them. It had been raining for days. Friday afternoon the sun came out. Saturday and Sunday were warm sunny days. Monday back to raining. Who says it don’t help to pray?

We would like to thank all our friends and relations for attending. A special thank you to Chaplain Keith Randall who carried the load for me. He had been to the hospital each night for prayer and support while Joan was there. Also a big thank you to Pastor Duncan for bring back 20 years of memories for Joan. Pastor Coffman brought back many memories of Joan and the quilt group at the Baptist church. A big thank you to all the wonderful Christian music singers, the Jeff Mastre family and their harmony, Dennis and Louise Johns with Elouise Minogue on the accordian and Tina Taylor and her keyboard with two beautiful songs. Debra Miller, our granddaughter, finished the service with a nice poem written by her for her Grammy. The potluck was great. These Alaska women and men can really cook. Last but not least a big thank you to Jill and Tony Buerge and Jill and Gary Leiter for all their help. The rest of the day was good Alaska fellowship. What a beautiful day.
