Letters: Invasion of privacy part of Obamacare

Posted: October 27, 2013 - 7:36pm

One thing to consider with Obamacare: today on CSPAN, it was revealed that your medical information, no matter how confidential you may wish it to remain, will be sent through several agencies including the NSA, IRS, and FBI, and several other electronic domains before it ever hits the Obamacare’s database.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to visualize the amount of private and personal data that the central government will be amassing on you!

Consider that everyone in the central government will know about your HIV, your SVTs, your illnesses and diseases. You may think it doesn’t matter, but may I remind you that mortgages, loans, insurance, etc. will be filtered through what you think is a secure system. Do you think you can get a mortgage with a terminal illness? Do you think your high and exalted position is assured when they find out you are suffering from a STV disease?

If you want all of your medical information to be accessible by multiple federal agencies, then please sign up for Obamacare. If you want to remain an individual who has chosen to value your privacy and freedom from those who would use your information against you, reject Obama and his hair brained idea of national health care without the slightest form of privacy.

SVT or STV or what?

The concept of Norm not wanting government involved in his health care is important and I hope Norm would never use the Veterans Health Administration for any of his medical needs and never ever use that scary Medicare for those government programs must also be evil. Now I am not sure what a SVT or a STV might be but if it is a STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) then the government has been getting reports on STDs for many, many years and that is just terrible to consider the evil government wants to track highly infectious diseases.

Here is the latest Tea Party recruitment video that explains everything you never wanted to know about .........

sign or else

A family member was told by their employer they must sign a document releasing health information or they would no longer get employer covered insurance. Now I know why.

Special Vehicle Team, also known as SVT. So what is a STV?

So when I read it Supraventricular Tachycardia. A health condition. Is "special vehicle team" a reference to a health condition. Perhaps we should ask Norm so we can understand what it means. One other thing. It is my understanding that obamacare will subsidize 60% of those who sign up. It has cost $400 million to establish the system and it adds more IRS agents. How many Doctors or nurses does it add to our healthcare system? And finally where do you think the money should come from?

I can understand the paranoia

I can understand the paranoia of extremist militia members. Ever since the oklahoma bombing the FBI, CIA, NSA, and Homeland Security have kept a very keen eye on the whereabouts and activities of these members.

These agencies were responsible in putting the fairbanks militia leader cox behind bars before he could implement his "two fer" program.

I for one am not concerned that someone may find out I had a mole removed. Having a health care plan available to those who currently don't have insurance will help our nation, not hinder it.

A little off topic but the NSA spies on us all. Also world leaders that are a threat to the USA. I think the total so far is 35 leaders. They must all be extremists. I wish our president was concerned about our Fourth Amendment privacy as he is concerned about the uninsured. Apparently health care is more important than the Constitution. Privacy is not important to you. Except here on this thread. I understand, you would not want people to know who writes such foolishness. But perhaps you can answer the question, where will the money come from for Obamacare. Certainly not from the spying expense. We must keep an eye on extremists like Merkel of Germany. You must feel so safe.

obamacare and errors

We all know how efficient the government is, with the handling of our records. Picture your first appointment with a new doctor....he is reading your 'records' as sent to him via his computer. He asks you :"Are you still having an alcohol problem?" You say "WHAT?"
He asks :"Are you still having a problem abusing your wife?" You reply "WHAT!".... well, YOUR RECORDS show you have been caught driving under the influence.... and that you have been beating your wife....
Happens that YOUR records are really someone else's records...OK, you got that straightened out.
Next day you get a letter from the DMV that your drivers license has been revoked.... because you have an alcohol problem.
Now, you have to go and explain that the WRONG RECORDS were sent to your doctor.... next thing might be a visit from the local police, checking on your wife - since your RECORDS show you had abused her..... and it goes on and on and on.
Don't laugh....at least PART of this has happened to a close friend, already!
I have absolutely NO CONFIDENCE that these kinds of things WILL not become part of your life, especially when you consider how many marginally intelligent people will be handling your records.
I hope those of you who voted for this arrogant imbecile will enjoy the result.

Not all surveliance is bad.

Considering Norm's and Ray's history, I'm kinda glad someone is keeping an eye on 'em.

Dear flying pig

Many fear reading or hearing the truth about our government’s behavior. You must feel so safe that the police state of surveillance is on us all. Better keep you nose clean. Hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil. Brilliant plan. I bet you hate Snowden for causing you to read and hear the truth about our government’s behavior.

OK so you don't mind the government having your info...

Even banks lose your info, but they have nothing as comprehensive as this. And, I bet they are a lot better at security than the yahoos that built the Obamacare site.
Imagine what nogoodniks can do with it--probably create a new class of computer criminals.

Just like wars, Spying is about economics. Here is an article from the Wall Street Journal.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB858035232512801500.html

Why were we spying on japan in 1995? We will never know the truth behind conspiracies like the Kennedy assassination.

the psychotic "the only

the psychotic "the only thing timothy did wrong was to get caught".

The psychotic will take advantage of every government
program it can in order to expend less money in it's life.

the psychotic is just "itching" for something to happen
so it can rally the guns.. boys and their toys cause more
death and fear than the imaginary "world order".

sure look forward to the days when the psychotic and the
bedbug can no longer type their trivial tripe.

Off topic but nothing new from you. I gave up conspiracies some time back. No need now. Just look at the world around you. Orwellian surveillance. Hard to believe Snowden had to hide in Russia to stay safe. Hard to believe Russia became the negotiator to save another war for the US. I will always expose abuses in government or corporations. It revolves around my caring about people. How about you? Can you come back to the topic and address the issue of PRIVACY?

Givers and Takers

What I don't understand is just where is this money coming from? People act like it is just going to fall off a tree. Why does a couple in their 60's under Obama have to sign up for a policy covering maternity? Why does a person who has never drank or used drugs have to sign up for a policy covering substance abuse? Why? Because that extra money they spend will go to cover the tax credits, etc., that are going to be handed out.

When the takers outnumber the givers, how will this system survive? Nothing is "free". Your "free" care is paid for by your neighbors. When they get tired of paying for you, what then?

why does a person that makes

why does a person that makes the same money as another

and yet pays more in taxes???? for instance one person

has no children, another has 4 and a wife and receives all

those tax deductions for them?? how about the

person that is receiving the senior tax break on property

taxes and then builds another house on the same

property and then complains that the second house

does not receive the same "senior" tax break.

hypocrites would be the psychotic and the bedbug.

topic or not topic, everything is encompassed in any

topic... stretch your trivial mediocre ..... oh, wait for it...

it just broke....
