Metals donation appreciated

Soldotna High School would like to thank Gary McMillan, Denis LeBlanc and Zeb Carpenter for CH2MHILL’s donation of an estimated replacement value of items close to $50,000. Receiving piping, plate steel, and grating on storage racks makes this supply of donated material manageable and organized. We greatly appreciate but had not anticipated the additional generosity of all the safety gear and supplies or the thousands of pounds of stick and tig welding rod.

As requested, we plan to attach CH2M HILL to the barbeque trailer we are building for school and sporting events for advertising and acknowledgement of your generosity. The rod ovens, work benches, and adjustable pipe/work stands are already used daily and will continue to aid in the training of our future welders and workforce. The students and staff who have been involved in the process are quite excited about the new additions to our programs!

Your commitment to Soldotna High School has been above and beyond and we can’t express enough how much this donation means to our school. Thank you again for all you do for our community.
