Letter to the editor: Ducks Unlimited loses longtime supporter

The community of Ninilchik and Ducks Unlimited Alaska volunteers have suffered a great loss with the passing of Doug Blossom on October 10, 2013.

A homestead era, well known resident, Doug was a fervent supporter of conservation and along with those beliefs, a strong Ducks Unlimited (DU) volunteer and supporter. Doug and his family have been active supporters of the local DU fundraiser held in Ninilchick since its beginning in 1986. We at Ducks Unlimited Alaska salute Doug and family for work well done. We only hope the legacy of the Blossom family will continue as conservationists in all grassroots efforts.
