Season of giving brings out community’s generosity

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the participants in the “Share in the Giving” campaign for families in the Sterling Area. This year the volunteers and generous neighbors gave out over 80 boxes of food that were distributed for Thanksgiving and Christmas had 94 boxes ready for distribution on Monday to a total of 331 people. 119 gift bags of toys and clothing for children will be given out. It’s pretty amazing what people can do when they work together.

Special thanks to all of you who participated in the program. Including all of the volunteers from schools, churches, Masons, and other community organizations in Sterling. One anonymous person donates a turkey to go with each one of those boxes. The Sterling neighbors’ generosity and sharing is amazing. Thanks again! Lots of space to operate was given to the program from the Sterling Community Center. It certainly made the distribution easier.

It’s a privilege to be associated with generous loving people in a community who contribute their time and money to benefit others. I’d name all of them, but I’m afraid I would omit a name of two. It’s a senior thing!

Merry Christmas to you all.
