Since 2004, when we obtained the property on Spur Highway that is now known as Friendship Mission, thousands of hours have been volunteered to make the building what it is today. A place where men who are in need, through bad choices or unforeseen circumstances beyond their control, can get help. Some have been laid off from their jobs or have just been released from the prison system. Whatever the situation, these men have needed help.
Because of the care and compassion of hundreds of individuals, churches and businesses, the goal of providing warm beds, good meals and a safe place to live has become a reality. We have aimed at giving the men a stable environment through rules and policies that can help them become responsible and useful citizens of our community.
