Letter to the editor: Thanks to Soldotna Seniors’ luau supports

Thanks to Soldotna Seniors’ luau supports

The Soldotna Senior Center would like to thank all the individuals and area businesses that made donations for our Hawaiian Luau fundraiser, held on June 16th, 2018.

The Hawaiian Luau fundraiser is one of our largest annual events and we had an at capacity crowd again this year. Donations for our luau were used for our silent auction, our outcry auction, and as door prizes for function attendees. The Center raised over $4,700 during this event, and we couldn’t have done it without these generous donations. You rock!

Donors for our fundraiser included: Muscles in Motion, Ron Walden, Poppy Lane Flowers, Lucy’s Market, Everything Bagels, Kaladi Brothers Coffee, Northcountry Fair, Aspen Hotel, First National Bank, Susan’s Bath & Body Botique, Gladys Routh, Bucket’s Sports Bar & Grill, Dana Nichols, River City Books, AutoZone, Phormations Chiropractic Spa, Jersey Subs, Trinity Greenhouse, Kenai River Brewing Company, Don Jose’s Mexican Restaurant, Sweeney’s Clothing, Alyeska Tire, Walgreens, Barbara Trombley, Holiday Gas Station, Arby’s, Fred Meyer, Frames & Things, Gamas Designs, 4D Carpet One, Ken Laing, Froso’s Restaurant, Dragonfly Gallery, Mykel’s Restaurant, Fine Thyme Café, NAPA Auto & Truck Parts, St. Elias Brewing Company, Senor Pancho’s Restaurant, China Sea Restaurant, Dinner’s Ready, John & Pat Jones, Donna Mortenson, Jan Fena, Lee Miller, Dorothy Diamond, Alaska Coastal Marine, Rose Clement, Michael Phelps, Nita Douthit, Donna Swaby, Katie McLeod, and Caribou Family Restaurant.

The Senior Center would also like to extend a hearty thank you to Senator Peter Micciche for once again taking on the role of auctioneer for our outcry auction. His generous time donation helped increase our fundraising efforts.
