Wow what a fun night of running and trick or treating on the trails. Even the weather was cooperative. Our first annual Tsalteshi Spooky Trails was so fun and could not have been as successful without the help of volunteers and sponsors. We reached our goal of fundraising and new memberships too!

After reading Eric Treider's "Occupy" letter to the editor (Oct. 28), I was compelled to do some research on the subject and found some very interesting facts that are not being published in the media. For example: Who is funding OWS, a supposed grass roots movement? By funding, I mean who is paying for the free food, Medical Care stations, The Occupy News Paper that is shown in every news clip? Google it and you will find the answer. You are judged by the company you keep!

The Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity 2011 home is currently being built. We still have a long way to go but we couldn't wait to thank the businesses who have donated or discounted labor and materials to date.

The Occupy Wall Street protests are rather peculiar. One the one hand we see the trash and the noise from thousands of people who just seem to want to vent and on the other hand we see people exercising their right to assemble and protest. But the movement lacks something very important. They protest against what they feel is unfair but they don't offer solutions. They seem to be quite unhappy about the way things are going, but are not sure how to fix it. They'll gripe and complain, but nothing will be done. I think they all want jobs.
