The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are alive and well on the Peninsula.
April 21st, the Tustumena District Pinewood Derby was held at Sterling Elementary. A total of 60 cars were raced over the course of the day. Some of the more creative car designs included: a hotdog, a Hershey bar, and a slice of pizza. Cars were brought in from Packs as far as Kodiak and were raced by boys from local packs acting as proxies for the boys that could not make the trip to Sterling. We would like to thank Pack 555 for bringing their track all the way from Homer and hosting the event.
