Kenai Golf Course works on playability projects

The Kenai Golf course is in great condition. I would like to thank everyone for the many positive comments we have received. We will continue to make every effort to keep improving the course.
The greens on Nos. 3 and 5 were plugged, seeded and top-dressed last week and are really improving rapidly. We have started work on the right side of No. 2 around the green. Pretty soon all the stumps will be covered with topsoil and seeded. This will really improve the playability of that area.
The same process will begin soon on the left side of No. 13. Red stakes will be placed on the back and right side of No. 15 and around the wetlands area in the fairway on No. 15. There will no longer be white stakes to the side and back of No. 15.
Last week we lowered the greens and will do so again this week. Please feel free to let me know how you feel about these changes.
Senior Day, June 28
Low gross winner was Gordon Griffin, while low net winners were Dwight Kramer and Dale Sandahl. Skins money went to Gordon Griffin and Kirk Hyman.
