Dillingham wins Pritchard Memorial Volleyball Tourney

Dillingham defeated Anchorage Christian Schools in the finals of the Shayna Pritchard Memorial Volleyball Tournament on Saturday at Nikiski High School.

The tournament is held in honor of Shayna Pritchard, the former Nikiski volleyball player who died in 2007 at the age of 18.

Homer defeated Nikiski for third place at the tournament, while Bethel topped Kenai for fifth place.

The Most Valuable Player of the tournament was Kristen Smeaton of Dillingham. Also on the all-tournament team were Acacia Walton of Dillingham, Taylor Calderwood and Rachel Thompson of Nikiski, Brooke Devaney, Monica Davis and Lauran Cashman of Homer, Kira Polk of Bethel, and Lillian Crayton and Sarah Severson of ACS.
