Skyview football loses in OT to Kodiak

The host Kodiak football team defeated Skyview 12-6 in overtime Saturday in Northern Lights Conference action.


Skyview drops to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the NLC, while Kodiak improves to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the NLC.

Kodiak trailed 6-0 in the fourth quarter, but tied the game on a 31-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Darren Aitolu to Fredy Sorto on fourth-and-25. The 2-point conversion failed.

Kodiak had the first possession of overtime and scored on the first play as running back Chris Parsons found the end zone form 10 yards out. On Skyview's ensuing possession, Jordan Jones then threw an interception on fourth-and-10.

Skyview scored its lone touchdown when Kyle Pietro intercepted a pass that bounced off the shoulder pads of Kodiak receiver Justin Goff, returning it for a touchdown.
